The Governing Board

Nikki Hills - PCC Governor - Chair of Governers - Chair of Learning and Progress Committee, Writing and Policies Governor

Mum to 3 children, all of whom have gone to or are currently at Brightwalton School. Prior to having children I spent 10 years in recruitment. I joined the governing board in 2011 as the elected Parent Representative Governor until 16.09.15 when my term of office ended. I re-joined the governing board in October 2015 as a Parochial Church Council Governor and my term of office will be reviewed 14.10.19. I am currently the Chair of Governors, Policy Governor and Writing Governor. I am a member of the Learning and Progress Committee and the Performance Management Panel.

Susie Brown - Local Authority Governor

I am currently Chair of Governors at Hampstead Norreys C of E Primary School, and have been for 5 years.  I was awarded National Leader of Governance (NLG) status in 2015 by The National College of Teaching and Learning under a Government initiative to raise standards within our schools. Therefore, I do support work with schools that require additional support in various areas of School Leadership.  My NLG deployments see me working closely with both Local Authority Governor Services and also School Improvement.  Currently I sit on the Resources Committee at Brightwalton and the Finance Committee at Hampstead Norreys, and also aid the process of both schools’  Head Teacher Performance Management procedures. My Role here at Brightwalton also includes being Co-Chair of Governors along with Katie Jones. This role has been established to support the succession planning of the Chair of Governors and to provide mentorship where required.
